I downloaded the new app.  Where is all of my information stored in the new app?

AppClose is excited to release its new and improved version of the app – AppClose 3.0! DON'T WORRY! AppClose will remain a FREE App. When you receive an update notice for the app, please download the latest version from the App Store or Google Play Store. Older versions of the app will no longer be supported, but rest assured, all of your information will be SAFESECURE, and AVAILABLE in the new app! 

Note: When you choose to sync your phone calendar with your new AppClose calendar, the entries from your personal calendar will NOT be shared with the other parent or a third party.  Only you will be able see any entries from your personal calendar.  If you choose to share an entry from your AppClose calendar with one or more people, only you and those individuals will be able to see that shared entry.  

 Once the AppClose 3.0 version is available and you have downloaded the new app from the App Store or Google Play Store, follow the instructions below to find this information in the new app.


Profile Information

Select the profile tab (bottom right tab).

You will still see all connected and non-connected individuals in your circle; however, until the connected individuals download the latest version of AppClose from the App Store or Google Play Store, that individual will not be able to receive any new information from you through the app.  Older versions of the app will no longer be supported.

To choose a different circle, click on the down arrow and select a different circle.

Important Information

 

To locate your important reminders, medical information, measurements, education, childcare providers, and additional notes:

  1. Select the profile tab (bottom right tab).
  2. Choose a child in your circle.
  3. Select the important information you want to view for that child.

 To locate your chat messages:

 1. Tap the chat icon (bottom center).

Parenting Schedule / Events / Expenses / Reimbursements / Other Requests

The all-new AppClose uses multi-functional calendars to store, record, and share information with other connected or non-connected co-parents and third parties.

Our new calendaring system is organized into three different categories: Parenting, Me Time, Work / Professionals.  Each category provides you with a way to more easily manage tasks, events, appointments, expenses, requests, and communications that specifically touch these areas of your life.

Our parenting calendar templates help you schedule or document anything related to parenting and kids.

To locate your parenting schedule, events, appointments, expenses, reimbursement requests, or other requests: 

Go to your list of calendars where this information is now stored by date.

  1. Select the calendar icon.

List of Calendars

The Parenting Calendar, Expenses & Requests, and/or Events & Activities calendars may have automatically generated for you depending on the type of information stored in your app at the time you downloaded AppClose 3.0.

EXAMPLES:

Parenting Calendar

Parenting Schedule 

If you have a parenting schedule set up, you will find it in your Parenting Calendar. (e.g. <child’s name> - Parenting Calendar). Each child will have his/her own parenting calendar, even if they share the same parenting schedule(s). You still have the ability to create a parenting schedule in one child’s parenting calendar and apply it to another child’s parenting calendar in one easy step, but this functionality also allows you to send swap days requests and create, edit, or delete a parenting schedule specific to each child when sibling schedules are different or change.

Your parenting time will be underlined in the color chosen for this parenting calendar. Your co-parent’s parenting time will be underlined in gray.

Trade Requests (*now called “Swap Days Requests” in the new app)

All trade requests that you created and sent to a co-parent or third party will be found in your parenting calendar (<child’s name> - Parenting Calendar) by date.
 

*Trade requests received by you will be found in your default calendar, but can easily be moved to a parenting calendar if you so choose.

Expenses & Requests Calendar

 

All expenses and requests that you created or sent to a co-parent or third party can be found in your Expenses & Requests calendar by date.

You can also view expenses by category or date in your expense tracker.  Click on the expense tracker icon at the bottom of your screen.

  1. Click on “EXPENSES”.
  2. Select a data range for the expense(s) you want to find.
  3. Select “All” to view all expenses in the selected data range.
  4. Select a category to find an expense by category for the data range selected.

Reimbursement Requests

You can also view reimbursement requests by date in your REIMBURSEMENTS statistics screen.  Click on the statistics icon at the bottom of your screen.

  1. Click on “REIMBURSEMENTS”.
  2. Select a data range for the reimbursement request(s) you want to find.
  3. Choose “All” to view all reimbursement requests in this data range.
  4. View reimbursement requests by category (pending, approved, declined, paid, or canceled).

Other Requests (pick up, drop off, custom requests)

You can also view pick up, drop off, or custom requests by date in your REQUESTS statistics screen.  Click on the statistics icon at the bottom of your screen.

  1. Click on “REQUESTS”.
  2. Choose “All” to view all other requests in the data range selected.
    *Trade requests sent by you will be found in your parenting calendar (<child’s name – Parenting Calendar). *Trade requests received by you will be found in your default calendar.
  3. Select a data range for any other request(s) you want to find.
  4. Select a category to view other requests by category (pending, approved, declined, or canceled).

                              Events & Activities Calendar

All events, activities, and appointments that you created or shared with a co-parent or third party can be found in your Events & Activities calendar by date.

Default Calendar

All events, activities, appointments, reimbursement requests, trade requests, or other requests that were previously sent to you by a co-parent or third party can be found in your default calendar. These entries can easily be moved to another calendar if you so choose.  Proceed to those instructions further below.

All Calendars

All of your information can be found by date under All Calendars (parenting schedules, events, appointments, expenses, reimbursement requests, trade requests, other requests, etc.).

To move a calendar entry from your default calendar to another calendar:

 

  1. Select the calendar icon.

    2. Select the mceclip0.pngicon.

Tap on the date of the entry you want to move to another calendar.

Tap on the entry to open it.

  1. Select the calendar you want to move this entry to.

   2. Click “Select”.

You will now find that entry in the calendar you chose, as well as “All Calendars”.

Sharing information with connected co-parents and third parties

You will still have the ability to send or share information with a connected co-parent or third party; however, until the connected co-parent or third party downloads the latest version of AppClose from the App Store or Google Play Store, he/she will not be able to receive any new information from you through the app.  Older versions of the app will no longer be supported.

 

Sharing information with non-connected co-parents and third parties

 

You will still have the ability to send or share events, requests, and now expenses, with a non-connected co-parent or third party using AppClose Solo.      

ipayou account information

 

To log in to your ipayou account:  

  1. Select the $ icon.
  2. Log in to your ipayou account.

You can send and receive payments through AppClose using ipayou if your ipayou account is verified and you have added a funding source to your ipayou account.  However, in order to make a payment to another party using ipayou, the other party must be a registered AppClose user (and have downloaded the new version of the app) and link his/her AppClose account to ipayou. 

To send money, view your transaction history, or add a funding source, select an option from the menu.
