If I am a professional, how do I connect to a client or co-parent?

Once you have signed in and verified your email address, you will need to create a professional circle.  Tap the orange + sign to create your professional circle.

  1. Choose “Third Party” as your role.
  2. Click the orange arrow at the bottom of your screen to proceed.

  1. Choose “Professional”.
  2. Click the orange arrow at the bottom of your screen to proceed.

Complete your professional profile. 

*Optional: To make yourself visible when searched by other users, turn on “Visible in search”.

Click “Save”.

Tap the orange + sign to add a client or co-parent to your professional circle.

Tap “Add a client”.  
*Tap this button if you want to add a co-parent who is not a client.

  1. Search for a client or co-parent by importing the data from your contacts or by manually entering an email or phone number for that person.
  2. Click “Search”.

If an AppClose account is found for this client or co-parent:  
1. Tap on the person’s name.

2. Click “Send a request”.

Click “Done”.

If a client or co-parent does not have an AppClose account, or has chosen not to be visible by search:

  1. Enter the person’s name.
  2. Click “Request to connect”.

To send an invitation link, click “Send”.

Choose how you would like to send the invitation link (via text, email, social media, etc.).

After you send a request to connect with a client or co-parent, you will see a non-connected client or co-parent in your profile until your invitation to connect is accepted.

If the client or co-parent does not have an AppClose account, or has chosen not to be visible in a search, that person will receive a request to connect with you through the invitation link you sent to that person via text, email, or social media, etc. in a previous step.  If this person does not have an AppClose account, this person must download the app and create an AppClose account in order to accept your request to connect.

If you sent a request to connect to a client or co-parent who has an AppClose account, that person will be notified of your request to connect through the app in the form of a chat message.

1. Once the client or co-parent clicks on the request to connect message, that person will need to read the disclaimer message and click “Ok” if he/she understands.

2. To accept a request to connect with a professional, the client or co-parent will need to click “Accept”.

To see if a client or co-parent is connected to you, select the profile icon (bottom right corner). When a non-connected client or co-parent accepts an invitation to connect with you, the non-connected icon will be removed.
