How do I use Co-Parent Assist while messaging?

Co-Parent Assist helps you review messages before sending to help identify sensitive or potentially harmful language. It provides feedback, explains concerns, and may suggest an alternative — without blocking your message.

How do I enable Co-Parent Assist Auto-Check?

Each chat can use different Co-Parent Assist settings:

1. Auto-Check ON – when you tap the Send button, messages are automatically checked
2. Auto-Check OFF – by using the Check message button, you can manually check messages before sending

To change Auto-Check settings for a chat:

1. Open a personal or group chat.
2. Open the chat menu and select Co-Parent Assist.

3. Turn the Auto-Check toggle ON.

   

When Auto-Check is Enabled

When Auto-Check is enabled, messages are automatically analyzed before sending.

1. Open a chat, write a message and tap the Send button

2. Co-Parent Assist will analyze your message. If the message is detected as potentially harmful, you will see a warning screen, with possible issues identified

3. You can:

• Send the original message anyway
• Request a safer version
• Close the warning screen and edit the message

4. If you request a safer version, and Co-Parent Assist can rewrite your message, a suggested version will appear.

5. You can then:

• Use the suggested message
• Regenerate the suggestion
• Continue editing manually

When Auto-Check is Disabled

1. Open a chat, write a message, and optionally tap the Check message before sending.

2. If you tap Check message, Co-Parent Assist will analyze your text. If the message is detected as potentially harmful, you will see a warning screen with possible issues identified.

3. You can:

• Send the original message anyway
• Request a safer version
• Close the screen and Edit the message

How do I disable Co-Parent Assist Auto-Check?

To disable Co-Parent Assist Auto-Check for a specific chat:

1. Open the personal or group chat where you want to disable Auto-Check.
2. Tap the down arrow icon next to the chat or member name.

3. Select Co-Parent Assist from the menu.

4. Turn the Auto-Check toggle OFF.
