An Export ID identifies one stored Certified Records Export. It is printed at the bottom of the export. Verifying the ID confirms that an export with that ID exists. It does not validate the contents of a file, and it does not give you access to the underlying records.
Request access to a stored export
Sign in to your own AppClose Pro account. Open Certified Records and select Verify / Request Export ID.
Enter the Export ID and select Verify. When the export is found, add a request reason (a reason is optional), then select Request Access and Confirm.
The client who created the export receives the request in AppClose and approves or declines it there. If you added a reason for the request, the client sees it.
The request is listed on Certified Records and stays open for 14 days. If the client approves your request, you can download the stored export from that row. Pro emails you when the client approves or declines the request.
Validate the file you received
Open the downloaded original in PDF software that can validate signatures, such as Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader. Inspect the company's digital signature and trusted timestamp. Keep that original file for chain of custody.
Certified Records Exports are available to U.S. users through the supported process. Certified Records do not include call recordings or transcripts. If a client needs to share an available recording or transcript, the client can download it separately while their account remains open.
Record certification does not guarantee admissibility. Courts decide whether and how to admit records.
For certified records relating to a closed consumer account, consult the Certified Records and Subpoena Policy for the legal-process route.
