Closing your account is permanent. You will no longer be able to sign in, use the account, or download call recordings and transcripts. Closing your account does not delete your records.
If you only want to stop your subscription from renewing, cancel your subscription instead. When the paid period ends, Read-Only Mode lets you continue viewing and exporting available records for free.
Before you close your account
- Export records you want to keep and separately download any available call recordings and transcripts.
- Check that you can access your account email or the recovery email already on the account.
- If you subscribed through Apple or Google, cancel that subscription in the store. Closing your AppClose account does not stop store charges.
Close your account in the app
1. Sign in and select the profile tab in the lower-right corner, then select Settings in the upper-left corner:
2. Select Close account:
3. Give a reason and select Close My Account:
4. Confirm by selecting Yes:
5. If two-factor authentication is enabled, select Send code and enter the code sent to your mobile device. If it is not enabled, confirm the final prompt.
You will receive confirmation that the account has closed. For help, contact support@appclose.com.
Can I reopen the account?
No. A closed consumer account cannot be reopened. Its original email cannot be used to register another consumer account. You may create a new account with a different email, but the old records do not transfer.
Can I request records after closure?
You may request a free uncertified PDF of your available Exportable Records from support@appclose.com, subject to identity verification. There is no deadline for making the request. Recordings and transcripts are not included and cannot be downloaded after account closure. For certified records relating to a closed U.S. account, the legal-process route in AppClose's Certified Records and Subpoena Policy applies.
